HA!

I just got my first RSVP back where someone wrote in a name that wasn't on the invitation. I have seen lots of brides talk about this here but never in a million year thought it would happen with us.

I invited all my aunts and uncles, and no cousins (I have about 50 first cousins). The RSVP came back that uncle would not be there but aunt would be there with her daughter/my cousin.

I don't think I am going to say anything but I just cracked up after seeing it happen so many other times on this board.

Re: HA!

  • People never cease to amaze me.  regularly.
    Fruit Loop is a BOY!!

    A blog / married bio
  • HAHA i was at a party on Thursday and my friend Mike has been dating someone for A WEEK and informed me they're madly in love and he's bringing her to our wedding. He wasn't invited w/ a guest and it's 5 months away!!
for multiple reasons, I told him to slow his roll :)
  • I just got a phone call from my cousin asking if "that line with the M in front... is that where I put our names?"

Me: "Yes. The M starts the Mr. or Mrs. or Miss, depending on who is coming."

Her: "Was that a stupid question?"

    Long pause.

    Me: "Noooooo..."

I never know how to remove the long pause before my response when I'm asked if "that was a stupid question"

You know if he's still dating her in three months when your invitations should go out, you need to invite her, right?
  • Aurianna - yeeeeeeees  :)

he actually said he wants to do a joint wedding, so we'll see. He's definitely a smitten kitten!

    1) Smitten Kitten is the best phrase ever
    2) In your joint wedding it won't count unless your nails are identical. Just a heads up!
  • OMG these are such great ideas. The crazy part is that he and his new lady friend have the EXACT same names as FI and I! so it would be Jane & Joe 2.0 :)
we can make it work. hahaha

i love this friend and this is his first good prospect after getting divorced, so god bless him if they're dating come August. We'll get them a honeymoon suite!
  • Courtania - we used a relatively unknown Bob Marley quote on our STD's :)
  • Ooooh! I can't wait to see who my mystery guests are going to be after I send out my invites! :P
  • Mystery guests. I like it. "Is it Mrs. Fuschia at the bar with the vodka?" Like wedding version of Clue. That's the first thing I thought of.

    Lol! Love it!
  • Not to hijack, but on the topic of whether you invite someone to bring a +1 or not - how do you express that on the invitations? If you're inviting some guests to bring a +1 and others not, do you get multiple types of invitations, some that have a space where they can write someone in and some that don't have the space?
