Seating arrangment

We will have 30 guests, plus us, so 32 people total. We are having a dinner reception at Margaritaville. They can't seat everyone at 1 long table unfortunately, so we have to split it up to 2 long tables. How would you do seating? I think there's too many people to let people pick their own seats; people are bound to get split up that way. Since we're in a semi-private area, I don't think they have room for a table for placecards/seating assignments. Should I just have placecards at each place setting and let each person walk around and find theirs, or go without a seating plan and hope people don't get split up?

You could go for semi-structured and put people at either Table 1 or Table 2.  Then they can pick their seats, but you'll know that you didn't split groups between the tables.  Maybe create a list for each table?
