What veil to wear?

I think everyone has already seen my dress, but just in case I put a picture:

I had bought an elbow length veil, but I tried it on with the dress and it doesn't look good. So, can someone send me some pictures on what veils they think would look good with this dress? (I would like to wear one).

Uh for some reason I can't post the picture, I think.

EDIT: the picture was GIGANTIC. Had to show the picture through  screen shot.

Re: What veil to wear?

  • OP, what is the theme to your wedding? Do you like long or just past the fingertips? Personally with your dress I would go for a minimal detailed lace that goes to the fingertips, but that's just me. Something similar to this perhaps? http://www.dhgate.com/hotbridalweddingbridalveilveilsbirdcage/pff8080813c0d9988013c0e9cc3520fda.htmls2241
  • Sorry if the link doesn't work, here's a different one. http://bridalblog.mjtrim.com/2010/07/30/laceveiltrims/
  • As far as I can see, your dress has no lace, bling or flowers, so a corded edge veil would look awesome, or even and a blusher! If you do the blusher it might bring out that satin bow on your hip, giving you more of a vintage look! Very stylish these days...

And for sh!ts and giggles a 1 tier satin ruffle edge:

  • My best friend wore that dress for her wedding last August. :) It looks beautiful on you.

She wore an elbow-length veil and I though it looked really nice. Maybe try on a few different styles?
  • Sierraberry, that is true now that I look closer at the dress. I'm using my mobile so it's a but difficult. Those veils are beautiful that you posted by the way.
  • I wouldn't go any longer than elbow-length, since the dress has a strong silhouette and you don't want to mute it (thats probably what happened before).

<div>Do you know which veil she wore? Thank you. I have an elbow length one in ivory, but I don't like the look. I feel like it hides the dress. </div>

Yes, most brides do.  You will want to take it off before you do your receiving line/mingling especially.  Otherwise everyone who hugs you will put pressure on the veil and pull your head back.  Repeat 100+ times, and you have yourself a hair-pulling induced headache.
