Spring Break!

It's amazing what you can get done in one day off! I spring cleaned, did dishes (H's chore), cooked dinner with candles and DIY decor, made PB thumbprint cookies with Nutella filling, took the trash out, caught up on work emails, shaved my legs, and did a Pinterest spa day that made me feel like my whole body molted and is reborn.

Tomorrow I am getting my first tattoo. Spring break!

Re: Spring Break!

    LOL Pele... hilarious.
  • Wow, what a great productive day you had! :) I like the spa thing you did... Gonna have todo that for myself soon!
  • I had plans to start my cleaning today too since I'm on spring break as well. Instead I laid on the couch all day. Maybe tomorrow...

A Pintrest spa day? I'm interested. What did you use? As long as I don't end up looking like the chicken Pele posted, that is.

  • I can't stop laughing at the chicken. I second sharing your pinterest spa day with us.

But also (sorry I kind of have to do this) you cooked dinner with candles? That must have taken forever!
  • Peanut butter cookies with Nutella filling? Recipe? I go crazy over anything with Nutella in it.

I'm on my iPad so I can't GIF ... but SHAME on me for writing a bad sentence!! I actually cooked in the kitchen and served with a whole bunch of candles. H had violin lessons, so we had sexy time, he went to lessons, and I created an oasis of relaxation.

It's so easy. You get the PB cookie mix from the store, make according to directions (mine needed a TBSP of water, 3 TBSP of oil, 1 egg) but add 2-3 TBSP of sugar. Bake, then as they get crackly, remove and left cool a minute or you'll burn the hell out of your thumb. Press a little dent in for the nutella. If you're OCD like me, you'll redo them with a clean spoon. All you do is scoop up a little and push it off the spoon with your finger. It'll melt a little, remove from the pan as soon as they are stable and let cool for at least 10 minutes. NOM.

I did a store-bought hair balm (I really didn't want to put raw eggs in my hair), a pomegranate body scrub, an Epsom salt foot bath and scrub, a teetree oil clay face mask and a essential oil bath with mint and eucalyptus. I had all the ingredients at home so I put on some documentaries and relaxed!

ETA: I can take out the links but they aren't to my blog, just recipes.

You must be on mobile, because your quote took out my punctuation and it looks like 23 TBSP of sugar, lol.

Lol. Whoops. I always forget that that happens. I usually use apostrophes for quotes and avoid any other punctuation other than a period. Mobile makes no sense to me.

The clay powder was the only thing I couldn't pick up within 5 minutes of my house. I ended up getting some online because I was too lazy to drive 20 minutes to Earth Fare (basically Whole Foods). I've ended up saving a bunch of money because the clay powder and oils last forever. But the oils were an investment. I bought a sampler pack and then bought the big sizes of my favorite: mint, sandalwood, eucalyptus, lemon, and tea tree oil.
