I use live in the USVI. I started out at a luxury resort. Then moved to a sailboat owned by another luxury resort. So I have some bride stories.
One of my favorite is this one. As we say in the islands "I can't make this sh!t up"
So a couple asked to speak to my manager and me about their stay in private. It was their honeymoon and they had 3 complaints that they thought warranted a FULL refund.
Complaint #1. The bride left her purse in a taxi on St Thomas. She complained because it took 3 hours to get her the purse. Now mind you the resort is on St John which requires a ferry to get there. The direct ferry to the resort runs every other hour. It took a while to even find the taxi. Then add in mid-day traffic, well it takes a while. Also the bride kept calling herself "mrs smith", yet the ID in the purse had "miss brown". So that slowed things down connecting the 2. May I remind you the BRIDE left her purse. This was not like the [independent] taxi driver didn't pull the bag out.
Complaint #2. She went to the dining room and people who sat down after them got their food first. Okay? The other table just ordered salads and you ordered a full entree. Yours took longer to make.
Complaint#3 - This is the biggy. Her new husband got a mosquito bite on his.... get this... penis. It kept him from being able to you know.... performing his husbandly duties. No lie. She actually told us that. It took all I could not to laugh. He just sat there.
Come to find out she was an employee from a different property in the states. She actually thought we would give her a full refund. In the end we comped one of her dinners

I had another bride breakdown in tears when she found out that 11 of the 12 couples on our sunset sail where married on the exact same day as her and everyone was also on their honeymoon. She honestly thought they were the only honeymoon couple. I also think she was trying the "I'm so special I'm on my honeymoon, give me free stuff" card and then realized she wasn't really all the special that night.

Another bride was 35 minutes late for her sunset wedding because "it can't start without bride". She was right, however the sun doesn't give a sh!t if a bride is late or not. Now, we do not really have a dust in St Thomas. It's completely dark about 15-20 minutes after the sun sets. So as you guessed it, it was completely dark for her wedding. She was pissed and cried that she could not get any sunset pictures. We kept trying to tell her that we need to start because it gets dark soon. She then complained we were being too pushy. What could we do?
